Sculpture of smyrna wool elements I was working with wool today. Small elements holding each other. Too much pressure — they fall apart. Too little — they never become a form. Under my hands small forms begin to appear. They resemble one another, yet each is different. Watcher. Being. Tower. Nest. Seed. Egg. The old roles slowly fall away, and what remains is a new kind of freedom. I am still learning how to invest in myself. Sometimes guilt comes with it, but after a night of sleep it usually fades, leaving space to continue the work.

My hands show the way. From chaos I search for a form that holds.
