Autumn has arrived, and I can feel my body and habits adjusting. Where I used to burst with energy during the summer, this time of year feels like an invitation to slow down. I’m sleeping more, giving up coffee, and focusing on mindfulness and rest. My body is asking for more care—something I’ve neglected for quite some time.
While working on various creative projects, from paintings to textile sculptures and weaving projects, I’ve noticed that my body sometimes demands more balance.
I’m preparing for a new exhibition I’ll host at home. I have laid out artwork on several floors in the house, and it is waiting to be selected. This process of choosing, reflecting, and creating goes hand in hand with finding a balance between work and rest.
Mindfulness has helped me listen to my body better, and my art reflects this. Creating space for stillness and reflection has become an essential theme in my work. This season, more than ever, I’m focusing on projects exploring this balance between rest and creativity.
How do you balance your daily life and work? I’d love to hear your experiences! Perhaps we’ll see each other soon at my exhibition.
