Dressed Up, Spring on My Skin and transparent blouses

Transparency: A Sheer Start to 2025

After months of swaddling like a burrito in winter layers, see-through clothing suddenly feels revolutionary! So this month, I’ve embraced the sheer life—transparent blouses, veils, the works. It’s my collages in wardrobe form. And for 2025, I’ve picked my guiding word: transparency! (Don’t worry, it’s metaphorical—I’m not about to walk around in transparent plastic wrap.)

Tip: Pick your guiding word for 2025! Think of it as a brain GPS, minus the annoying “recalculating” voice. So, what’s your plan? Will you let your brain wander like a tourist without a map? Or will you pick a word? It’s free, easy, and calorie-free.

January 5, 2025

It’s still dark outside. Snow has dusted the world with a thin white layer, and the house is quiet—not the kind of silence that feels empty but the kind that’s filled with possibility. Wrapped in layers of pyjamas, an insulating shirt, and a training jacket, I sit in the front room. Behind me, I hear the soft breathing of the cats. It’s 17 degrees inside—better than yesterday.

These quiet moments give me the mental space to think, feel, listen, and—most importantly—create. Creativity doesn’t have to be grand or perfect. It often starts small—with a thought, a feeling, or even a simple longing for something better.

Transparent blouses in Spring

I think about how often we dull ourselves with practical clothing. Sometimes, when I feel physically well, I long for something delicate and expressive, like a transparent blouse. Other times, I wonder: why complicate it? Simplicity has its elegance.

And then I feel it—a longing for spring. Not just the season, but the feeling of freedom it brings: shedding layers, reconnecting with the warmth of the sun, the scent of blossoms, and the wind brushing through your hair. That freedom fuels creativity, opening our senses to the world and shifting us from gloom to sensory joy.

Creativity Is Play

Creativity doesn’t need a ‘goal,’ and it doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s about giving yourself the space to play. Open your senses; opening them one at a time is better than all at once. And most importantly, listen to yourself. Even if no one else is listening, your voice matters.

Discover the beauty of the moment. It doesn’t have to be polished or even ‘beautiful.’ It just has to be yours.

Let spring come. And until it does, we’ll create it ourselves—by opening our eyes and ears (maybe sensing soft light through transparent blouses ✌️) and opening our hearts to what’s already here. We’ll let it move us.

After two months of bleak non-transparant greyness in a-kind-of-Holland-winter, I certainly want to see the sun again. A enlighting thought, transparancy! A blue, transparant sky, that would ne nice.
