The digital age has made sharing more accessible, but does every story deserve an audience? Social media often blurs the line between connection and oversharing. While storytelling is essential—it forms the foundation of our memory and identity—not every narrative needs to be aired publicly.

Some stories are better shared in intimate settings, face to face, where their weight can be honoured without unnecessary fallout. Oversharing can disrupt relationships and create unintended consequences, especially on public platforms. Before hitting "post," it’s worth asking: Is this helping, harmful, or just adding noise?

Thoughtful storytelling can bring depth and meaning to our lives. It’s about balancing openness with discretion—finding the right stage, or sometimes, no stage.
