I wouldn't have been so patient with me if it hadn't been me

Updated: Jan 26

In my artistic adventures as a kid, I was frustrated now and then. My parents used to tell me to keep on trying. "Don't give up!" they used to say. Later in my life a bit of advice on creative occasions generally came down to the same: 1. persevere, 2. keep on playing and experimenting and 3. stay positive about oneself and your artwork.

But I reached a point. "Okay, if I do all that, what is next?" I have a strong feeling to be on track without a target or map, that's probably why I never arrived. I wouldn't have been so patient with me if it was not me! That's for sure!

I decided to join the course of Donna Watson, the workshop ESSENCE OF IDENTITY of fiber arts. I am halfway now, by the end of January 2023 at module 4. I invest effort and time because I want to discover who I am all along, and what makes my work mine. I hear Donna say: "It may take courage and determination. There is no overnight magic pill." So until now, the parental adagio remains: "Don't give up!". Again! With patience, this time not on my own.
